Paredes que hablan

Buenos Aires is known for its graffiti, sometimes graphic, controversial, funny, but its everywhere. I love it!

Te quiero BA

2 months down! And hoping the next 2 and a half don't go by as quick as the first months have. I realize it's been a month since I've updated which means apparently so much has happened that I can't remember most of it. My experience here really would not be the same without my family here, I am in love with them, and they've been kind enough to take me on several fun outtings together. One weekend we went to the anual celiacs exposition (where I got to eat pancackes, waffles, a burger, bread, and beer all in one day!!) and last weekend we went to the Brazilian Independence Festival which had lots of music and dancing. I'm so sad I can't go to Brazil, Brazilians are so much fun! A couple weeks ago we went to the Tango World Festival and I was blown away by the dancing. I went to several rounds, and later the semi-finals, all of which were incredible. I of course know nothing about tango, but its beautiful and such a deep tradition and symbol of Argentina, I loved it.
My friends and I have found a couple fun bars that we go to often, and my favorite is Acabar (literally means to come, try to stiffle your laughter). They have fun, colorful drinks and best of all, games! Everything from Jenga and Battleship to Sextionary and Misterioso (which still remains a mystery).
Otherwise classes have been getting extremely busy and difficult, with parciales (or midterms) the next couple weeks, so although it is killing me, most of my time has been spent studying lately. And trying to get over the flu while avoiding going to the hospital. But in 2 weeks I will be going to Peru (Machu Picchu!!!!) and Chile (to visit Nicole in Santiago!!) and I CANNOT wait :)
